The North Carolina Boater Education Card (also referred to as the North Carolina boating license) is proof that a boater has taken and passed an approved boater education course. The North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission currently has a mandatory boater education requirement that requires all boaters 14 and 15 years of age to have the North Carolina boating license on board a personal watercraft when the vessel is underway to satisfy the North Carolina boating regulations.
