We make our classes fun and interesting with videos, visual aids, and hands-on student participation. Cost of class includes all class fees, materials and testing!

In order to get an Official Connecticut Boating License, you need to pass the Boater Exam. You do that by taking a Boating Education Course. Seems logical enough.

Getting a Boat License

To get an OFFICIAL CONNECTICUT BOATING LICENSE

  • To begin with, take a one day Boaters class.  As long as you pass the exam, you’ll earn your Connecticut Boating License license.
  • Initially, the boat license consisted of just the Safe Boating Certificate.  However sometimes referred to as a Boat Safety Certificate.  That is to say, both are the same.
  • So then the Certificate of Personal Watercraft Operation (PWC Boating) was added to the Safe Boating Certificate Course in 1996.
  • Likewise, on October 1st of 2015 Emily’s Law was enacted.  Hence requiring that all boaters must also have the Waterski Towing Endorsement.  Consequently Connecticut added it to the boat licensing program.
  • To clarify, since 2016 the 1-Day class is three pronged.  That is to say, it includes the SBC, the CPWO, and the SWE materials.
The Boaters Exam & Test

The BOATERS EXAM or BOATING TEST

  • In the first place, the final exam for the Boating Education Course is multiple choice.
  • Therefore, all Boaters must pass the Connecticut Boaters exam.  As a result you’ll get your Connecticut Boaters License.
  • Above all, you have to attend a boating education course to take this exam.
  • Conversely, if you do not pass the Boaters Exam you can try again with us.
  • Indeed the way to take the Boaters Exam in Connecticut is by attending a Boating Course.
  • Above all, Safe boating is the Goal here and you’ll benefit from any education.
The Boating Education Course

The BOATING EDUCATION COURSE or BOAT COURSE

  • Firstly the Connecticut Boating Course is an 8-hour 1-Day Course.  This is in fact mandated by the State of Connecticut.
  • Secondly, it is only offered by Federally and State Licensed providers.  To emphasize the course is really geared towards Safe Boating.
  • Thirdly, we are Federally and State Certified/Licensed to offer this course.
  • In conclusion, we are proud to serve you and want to help you get your BOAT LICENSE!
Have an Existing Safe Boating Certificate
Already have your OFFICIAL CONNECTICUT BOATING LICENSE
  • For example, you completed your licensing course before October 1st, 2015.  In short you are grandfathered in for the Safe Waterskiing Endorsement.
  • In addition, anyone who has just a Safe Boating Certificate should retake the course.  Not only does the new course includes Waverunners and Jet Skis but also includes the Safe Waterskiing Endorsement too.
